We’re Steven and Tanya, the team behind Family K9. With over 15 years of combined experience caring for dogs, and a professional background in dog training, we’ve dedicated our lives to understanding and nurturing the unique personalities of every dog we meet. Tanya worked for years as a flight attendant, and Steven as an electrician—careers that kept us busy and often away from home. Over time, we realized that what truly made us happiest was being present with our dogs and building a life that reflected that love.
So we made a change.
We started Family K9 not just to work with dogs—but to build a life around them. Our goal was to be more present for our two beautiful dogs and to give them the best life possible. That decision became our mission: to offer other families the kind of care we wanted for our own pets—reliable, experienced, and full of heart.
Today, Family K9 offers a variety of dog services rooted in trust, compassion, and a true love for animals. Whether your dog needs a walk, structured care, a day of fun, or a safe and loving place to stay, we treat them like one of our own.
